All the non-human steps in that process have been automated so the salespeople can spend their precious time doing what they do best: selling. The clerical part of their job for prospecting (which involves writing the same notes over and over again) is removed.

Better than CRM for early-stage leads.
Most of the leads will not be worth putting in the CRM system. If they are entered, not only do they clog the system, but they make it that much harder to maintain the data integrity of the CRM system, simply because there are so many of them compared to Customers in the Customer Relationship Management system.
CRM systems are very flexible, but for early-stage leads, that flexibility is not only not needed, it slows the whole process down. What can be done with a single click in ALP can sometimes take a dozen clicks and several pages to be completed in a CRM.
When a legitimate opportunity is found, ALP can easily export the data so that it can be uploaded to virtually any CRM.
